MediaRich hosts first ever BarCamp San Antonio

We are very proud to be hosting and sponsoring San Antonio’s first BarCamp.
BarCamps are also known as “unconferences” in which the participants decide which subjects will be discussed the day of the event and everyone participates.
Founded in Palo Alto, Calif., three years ago, BarCamp quickly has spread worldwide with more than 300 cities hosting BarCamps.
MediaRich is hosting the unconference on Sept. 6, which is expected to attract 150 people. Neighbors Casa Chiapas, Mad Hatters Tea House & Café, and El Sol Studios are providing additional meeting space since the event has attracted so many more than originally expected.
“BarCamps are about community,” said Mandi Harrell Leman, president of MediaRich. “Often times if a community doesn’t already exist, it will emerge after the event and it creates continuous connections.”
